There’s a Place

My good placemaking friend, Dhanya Rajagopal, kindly invited me to contribute to a magazine she was developing

There’s a Place is an anthology of stories that brings together memories and experiences from different people, countries and walks of life. It explores the ways that places become part of our personal histories and identities.

For my contribution, I spoke about the places that shaped my own interest in cities and public space, particularly York, Nottingham and Berlin. I talked about growing up in York in the 1990s, moving to Nottingham for university, and later spending time in Berlin.

I got to share my experiences of Tempelhofer Feld, a place that remains close to my heart.

You can read my contribution starting on page 24.
